DAVID CAPEL - Northants and England and Northants Head Coach.

During the past decade it has been a pleasure to work alongside Ian at Northants cricket. In his role as a specialist batting coach he has been responsible for bringing on our best young players and has instilled all the solid fundamentals in terms of technique and tactical game plans.

I have no hesitation in recommending Ian as a top class batting coach who consistently delivers high quality and standards in this specialist field. Ian has also coached our youth teams between U13 - U16 with a good record of success.

NICK COOK - Leicestershire Northamptonshire and England and current 1st class umpire.

I played professional cricket with Ian for Leicestershire in the 80s. Much more recently though i have coached with him on many occasions and would recommend him to anyone.

He has passed his coaching badges, but more importantly Ian is enthusiastic, knowledgeable on all aspects of the game and he has a great rapport with pupil and parent alike.
